Dairy Bacterial Testing, LLC is an independent dairy laboratory specializing in bacterial testing for the dairy industry in Central New England.  We are based in south central Vermont on the spine of the Green Mountains.  We offer bacterial testing for raw milk (cow,goat,sheep) or milk derivative products (cheese, butter, etc).  Our laboratory is staffed with an experienced laboratorian, with a specialty in microbiology.  The laboratory is eligible and seeking state liscensure and FDA certification of all tests offered.  In partnership with the Vermont DHIA we offer somatic cell counts and chemical analysis of raw milk.


Company history
Dairy Bacterial Testing, LLC is owned and operated by Millicent Johnson, M-NRM, M-ASCP.  Millicent has over 20 years of laboratory experience in hospital settings.  She graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS in Medical Technology, with a specialty in Microbiology.  She is registered with the National Registry of Microbiology and a member of the American Society of Microbiology and the National Mastitis Council.  She and her husband own a small diversified farm with a Jersey milking herd.  Dairy Bacterial Testing, LLC was established in March of 2007.  "With my interest in dairy farming and microbiology, setting up an independent dairy laboratory for bacterial testing combines the two into one."
